Use the diamond cutting disc exclusively for straight cuts. The disc is not suitable for lateral grinding or making curved cuts, as this can cause stresses and damage to the main blade. Always check before use whether the rotation direction of the disc matches the rotation direction of the machine. Respect the maximum allowed speed and always use the correct protective cover.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment while working, such as safety glasses and protective work clothing. The disc must be correctly mounted with clean clamping flanges of the same size. Do not use damaged or incorrectly tensioned grinding discs.
Tips for optimal cutting performance and lifespan
Work without applying excessive pressure. The weight of the machine is usually sufficient for efficient cutting. Extra pressure mainly increases the wear of the disc. For larger workpieces, it is best to work in multiple cutting passes. When cutting performance decreases and noticeably more sparks are produced, the diamond layer can be re-sharpened
by making a few cuts in an abrasive material, such as sandstone. The correct peripheral speed is also important. A speed that is too high can dull the diamond segments, while a speed that is too low can lead to accelerated wear.
