Reducer rings are practical accessories that allow the bore of a diamond grinding wheel to be adjusted to a smaller shaft diameter of the machine. This way, the same grinding wheel can be used on different suitable machines without needing a separate wheel for each shaft size.

Application for different bores and machines
A reducer ring is placed in the bore hole of the diamond grinding wheel when the bore of the wheel is larger than the diameter of the machine shaft. Common size combinations in professional sawing and grinding applications are for example 30 to 25.4 mm, 30 to 22.23 mm, and 25.4 to 22.23 or 20 mm. The correct version always depends on both the bore of the diamond wheel and the shaft size of the machine used. Reducer rings can be applied to suitable diamond grinding wheels for table saws, floor saws, stone saws, and other professional saw machines.
Correct fitting for precise work
A well-fitting reducing ring helps to mount the diamond disc correctly and centered on the machine spindle. This is important for stable rotation and a controlled cut. Therefore, always choose a ring whose outer diameter exactly matches the bore of the disc and whose inner diameter fits the machine spindle. The thickness of the reducing ring must also be suitable for the main blade. The ring must not prevent the clamping flanges from securely holding the grinding disc.
Tips for assembly and safe use
Always check the dimensions of the diamond grinding disc, reducing ring, and machine spindle before assembly. Place the ring flat and without force in the bore and ensure that all contact surfaces are clean and undamaged. Do not use deformed, damaged, or loose reducing rings. After assembly, check whether the grinding disc is correctly centered and can rotate freely. Always respect the maximum speed and the assembly instructions of both the machine and the diamond disc.
A reducing ring only changes the bore of the disc. It does not automatically make a diamond disc suitable for a machine when diameter, speed, flange size, or other technical specifications do not match.
