Diamond cutting discs for tiles

Professional diamond cutting disc for fast and precise cutting of hard tiles. The innovative stepped segment design with specially milled cutouts ensures efficient removal of sawdust and heat. This keeps the disc better cooled and allows for smooth cutting through hard tile materials.

  • Stepped diamond segments for high cutting speed
  • Milled cutouts for efficient cooling and removal of sawdust
  • Consistent cutting performance thanks to a carefully calibrated diamond coating and bonding
  • Segment height of 15 mm for an exceptionally long lifespan
  • Bore of 30/25.4 mm
  • Suitable for professional and intensive use

The combination of a high segment height and a tailored diamond bonding makes the disc particularly suitable for regularly cutting hard and thicker tiles. Professional diamond blades with high segments are also used for hard ceramic and porcelain tiles.

Application on ceramic and porcelain tiles

This diamond cutting disc is developed for cutting various types of hard wall and floor tiles, including:

  • ceramic tiles
  • porcelain tiles
  • gres and fully ceramic tiles
  • glazed tiles
  • hard floor tiles
  • thick and large format tiles

The disc is suitable for both dry and wet cutting. Wet cutting provides additional cooling when working with tiles and helps to limit dust formation during cutting. Depending on the diameter and the connection, the diamond disc can be used on suitable tile saws and table saws. For smaller versions, use on a suitable angle grinder may also be possible. Always check if the diameter, bore, and maximum speed match the machine used.

Quiet and comfortable tile cutting

The version with sandwich carrier and integrated copper foil helps to reduce vibrations and the typical high saw noise of a diamond disc. Such a sandwich construction consists of multiple layers where a damping intermediate layer limits the vibrations of the core blade. This makes the disc particularly interesting for professional tile work where cutting is done for extended periods, for example during renovations, interior finishing, or processing larger quantities of floor and wall tiles.

The sound-dampening construction can reduce the noise level by up to 15 dB. In addition to the lower noise level, the stable disc construction contributes to a controlled cutting motion.

Tips for a clean cut and long lifespan

Let the diamond disc do as much of the work as possible during cutting. Excessive pressure does not necessarily lead to a higher cutting speed and can actually increase wear. When working with hard or thick tiles, it is best to work carefully and, when necessary, in multiple cutting passes. Reduce the feed speed towards the end of the cut. This helps to limit the risk of breaking or damaging the tile edge. Manufacturers of professional tile saws also recommend a lower feed speed at the end of the cut for a better finish.

Use the diamond grinding disc exclusively for straight cuts and not for lateral grinding. Always check the indicated direction of rotation and the maximum speed, and use the prescribed protective cover. If the cutting performance noticeably decreases, the diamond bond can be re-sharpened by making a few cuts in suitable abrasive material. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment while cutting, including safety glasses and suitable work clothing.
