Hook and loop discs, better known as Velcro sanding discs, are used for flat sanding and finishing on wood, metal, and plastic. Thanks to the hook and loop system, discs can be quickly changed without tools. This makes them particularly suitable for repetitive tasks where the grit is frequently changed. In combination with a suitable sander, they provide a stable and even sanding pattern.

The choice of grit size determines the final result. Coarser grits are used for quick removal, while finer grits ensure a smooth and scratch-free surface. By gradually building up in grit size, you prevent visible sanding marks. Many Velcro discs are equipped with perforations for dust extraction. This increases visibility during work and extends the lifespan of the disc as dust accumulates less between the grits.
